Apple has long been known to be pretty strict over what gets into their App Store and what doesn’t. However, as of late, the company has eased up a bit and have been allowing a whole slew of apps into the market that would have otherwise been denied.

One such category of apps that are now being accepted into the App Store are made exclusively for Google Voice. If you’ll remember not too long ago we told you that the GV Mobile + application had made its way onto the app store. While it’s a more than capable Google Voice iPhone app, it’s from a third party developer and not straight from Google.

However, today, TechCrunch has gotten word that Google is in fact working on an official Google Voice application and have already gotten it approved by Apple. If true, this means that it’s only a matter of time before we see the official Google Voice application hit the App Store for all to download.

We’ll let you know when that fateful day arrives.

This is the LG Optimus One, and it is coming from T-Mobile, apparently.

Not only will this handset have Froyo upon activation, but 802.11 b/g WiFi radio. It is also the first handset with UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access), which means it makes free VoIP calls with only Wi-Fi signal required. It will also allow a laptop or netbook user to share an HSDPA 7.2 Mbps connection.

It doesn’t look like it’s changing its name to Vortex, though.
