I thought that this iPig looked familiar, and we did report on a Speakal limited edition Black iPig a while ago.

The same company makes this one, and it seems to follow the original Apple iPod Classic white, and its nostrils are the controls. The iPod or iPhone goes right into the back, and it costs about $150.

For young children with an interest in animals, or those just learning about wildlife, Animals 360 is a free app featuring animal pictures, sounds, and habitats. Designed to provide an interactive way for children to learn animal names and sounds, Animals 360 is a pretty kid-friendly app and includes a few fun extras you might not expect for free.

The app includes four modes – Tour, Photos, Quiz, and Puzzle. The tour is habitat based and features farm, safari, and forest. Panning left and right, images of various animals native to the selected habitat are displayed and their animal sound can be heard by tapping on the pictures. The photo mode contains photos of additional animals ranging from bear and bison to woodpecker and zebra. Each animal has three images, viewable by swiping up or down. The entire collection is accessible in an alphabetical list and the sound they make can be heard by tapping on the speaker icon at the top of each photo.(…)

I’m not sure whether this is a leaked image or an actual release, but this is the O’car from Oxygen Audio.

As you can see, it is a car stereo that has a port designed just for the iPhone and can swivel in any angle. So now the iPhone is on your car. I suppose that we all saw this coming. After all, Guys in California put the iPad in a car, BMW seems ready for an in-car revolution, and Soundman also has one.

As you may have guessed, there will be apps for everything needed behind the wheel, and it will automatically dim audio programs for voice prompts if turn-by-turn directions or receiving phone calls is needed.

The O’car will debut at CES 2011, and then it will show up in the first quarter of 2011 for $299.

iPod and iPhone users aren’t exactly bereft of choice for places to dock their audio transporters, but what if you prefer to keep your music collection on your iPad? Okay, actually there are a couple of options for you out there as well, but few will be quite as bodacious (or as expensive, we’re sure) as Bang & Olufsen’s latest. The BeoSound 8 straps a pair of cones to a connecting bar, adds some feet, a wall bracket, and a remote control, and sends you home to enjoy some “outstanding sound performance.” USB and auxiliary line-in connectors are available if you’re not dancing to Steve Jobs’ tune, while the body can be had in white or black and the speaker covers come in a variety of colors to express your individuality with. Look for the BeoSound 8 at your nearest B&O outlet later this month.

[Thanks, Jesper]
