In classic iTunes tradition, Apple has posted their “iTunes Rewind” for 2010. The best content from the iTunes Store is listed in different categories, from “top grossing” to “hot trends.”
A huge section of iTunes Rewind 2010 is dedicated to the App Store, as one might imagine. There’s a huge selection of chosen apps to check out…

E-readers are becoming quite popular with Apple touting the iPad’s eBook reading ability quite high not to mention dedicated devices from Barnes & Noble and Amazon like the Nook Color and Kindle, respectively. Each of the above mentioned companies not only push e-reader devices, but they also offer eBooks for sale through virtual retail outlets.
However, if you needed a bit more competition thrown into the mix, it was announced today that Google has entered the eBook business with their own virtual store. Not only are there eBooks available for a price, but Google is also offering over 3 million free eBooks through their store. All purchases will naturally be stored in the cloud with progress being synced across devices.
As you can see from the above screen shot, Google will be offering their eBooks through many different outlets including iOS, Android, desktop platforms and more.
It’s going to be interesting to see if this is a game changer and how it will play into Google’s future offerings. Perhaps the search engine giant is dreaming up a dedicated, self-branded eBook reader? Only time will tell.
Check out the Google eBookstore, here.
Sure, Barnes & Noble may not have a deal with Sprint that allows their eBook reader to acces…

I’ll admit it now: Bakery Story is not a game for me. I don’t mean that I hate it; it’s perfectly respectable for what it is. However it’s a game that’s aimed at an entirely different market than myself – it’s for the casual and social gamer. You know the ones, the ones who adore Farmville on Facebook and Team Lava’s previous iOS titles such as Farm Story and Restaurant Story.
Your sole aim here is to build up the best bakery possible. There’s no real end game here. All you do is level up via attracting more customers and baking new goods. You start the game with a select few recipes unlocked with new ones unfolding as the game progresses. Each recipe is baked in real time making for an extended game experience. For example, brownies only take one minute to bake but a chocolate tart takes a full 24hrs to complete. To attract customers, you need a steady supply of baked goods to lure them in so it’s all a matter of balance. This is made even more important by the fact that once an item is finished, you have to put it on display for the customers to pick out. If it’s left too long on the hob, it goes off and becomes unusable. You can also decorate your store with various wallpaper and floor tiles as well as different furniture.
That’s about as complicated as Bakery Story gets, however. You’re also encouraged to visit other players and their bakeries where you’re able to leave tips and explore their store. At the time of writing, this was difficult to explore simply because the game has only just come out and not many players have jumped on board just yet. Looking at previous Story games however, there’ll no doubt be a booming community in time. The wall features in which you can leave messages and exchange tips will no doubt prove very useful. Bakery Story also allows you to connect with Facebook for other added bonuses.
How much fun you’ll have with Bakery Story entirely depends on how you felt about the previous Story games. It’s an extremely laid back game where not a huge amount happens. While it’s satisfying to watch your store get busier, the true satisfaction is through socialising with other players. In which case you’d be wise to recruit a few friends to the cause while you’re at it. It’s also worth noting that this is online only so be sure that you have a net connection available. For those after more thrills, though, you might want to try something more fast paced.

Maybe this really is a day we’ll never forget after all! Even though the Google Voice web app was pretty good, I always wondered why Google didn’t release an official app, especially since Apple loosened up its App Store approval process. It’s something I will never wonder again as Apple gave the green light today to the official Google Voice app.
There are already a couple Google Voice apps (1, 2) selling in the App Store, but seeing how good the new official app looks like, and the fact that it comes at the unbeatable price of $0, the official Google Voice application will probably be a success… Read More
This is an App known as mScribble, and it allows the user to play music on the iPhone or iPod Touch with the power of a flicking finger.
Considering the music apps that we have seen before, like Magic Piano or Crazy Piano, this one looks simpler to use. Apparently, it does follow rules of chord changes as well as melody and rhythm, so with a little scribbling practice, you could be a master musician.
You can get this App from the iTunes Store for about $0.99.
