If you’ll remember, we told you not too long ago that Google’s Andy Rubin had taken center stage at an event to show off a prototype Motorola tablet powered by none other than Android 3.0, otherwise known as Honeycomb. While we didn’t get an incredibly in depth look at the device, we did get a chance to see how how much different Honeycomb will be than any version of Android before it.
Now, some new reports have surfaced that say the same Motorola tablet has appeared in Taiwan with the above picture showing it off. Of course, it doesn’t show too much but it was accompanied by some specs that say the Motorola tablet will feature a 1280 x 800 display, an NVIDIA Tegra 2 T20 processor, a 5 megapixel camera, a 2 megapixel front facing camera, 32GB of internal storage and a microSD slot.
Additionally, it’s also said to be coming in both 7 and 10-inch versions. Will this be the tablet that finally topples the iPad and makes the Samsung Galaxy Tab look like child’s play? We’ll have to wait and see.

If you’ve been paying attention you may remember that we told you about a possible delay for the Dell Streak‘s Android ‘Froyo’ 2.2 update. At the time we told you it had been delayed to the middle of January but did not have official confirmation as to the validity of this rumor. Unfortunately, Dell has just come forth to let us know that the Android 2.2 update for their 5-inch Streak tablet/smartphone has indeed been delayed.
To make matters even worse, Dell did not state the reason for this delay instead going on to say that they will be continuing to work with AT&T to address the issue. Honestly though, I’m not a computer science major but what gives with these delays? Is it really that hard to port a new version of Android to these devices? I mean, the guys over at XDA-Developers seem to have no trouble doing it, so why not these actual big name companies?
What ever the case may be, we will keep you updated with any future happenings.

Tablets have quickly become some of the hottest electronics on the market with just about every hardware manufacturer getting down on the fun. Seeing how they are so popular it would be ridiculous if any of the big carriers passed on the opportunity. Many of said carriers have already gotten down with popular devices like the iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab putting up impressive sales numbers.
However, it seems that T-Mobile is looking to be a step ahead of the game already laying down their plans for a 4G tablet. According to T-Mobile they are focusing their efforts on pushing out a tablet (most likely powered by Android) that will run on their HSPA+ network. Below is their official statement:
T-Mobile is working closely with the majority of our OEM partners to deliver 4G products by integrating HSPA+ into roadmaps in 2011 as the dominant global standard. Consumers will continue to see HSPA+ fuel future innovation in a variety of mobile consumer electronics from smartphones and tablets to emerging devices. T-Mobile will continue to be at the forefront of wireless innovation, delivering an aggressive 4G product lineup in 2011, including 4G tablets.
Who this tablet will be made by and what its specs will be are anyone’s guess but considering Android ‘Honeycomb‘ 3.0 is expected to hit store shelves sometime next year we would assume it would be something along the lines of that.

When you think of gaming perhaps you think poker, maybe you think of the Nintendo Wii or Xbox 360 or hell, maybe you even think hunting. However, thanks to the popularity of Facebook and its partners, gaming is quickly beginning to be associated with online games like FarmVille and Mafia Wars, no matter how bad we don’t want it to be.
Regardless of our dislike associated with this movement, there is no denying the fact that FarmVille, Mafia Wars and their creators Zynga are immensely successful. Those of you who have hopped on both the Zygna and Android bandwagon will be happy to hear that the company has recently announced their intentioned to bring Mafia Wars to the Android platform sometime this month.
The game has already been available in app form on the iOS platform for quite some time but now it seems like it’s Android’s turn to receive some love from the Mafia (Wars, that is).
