Some of you might remember when we reported on the man who said a Motorola Droid 2 exploded in his ear.

Now we getting indication that these claims could be false. That maybe this user dropped the phone, didn’t realize that the glass was broken, and cut his ear (hence the blood).

I guess there must be phone forensics teams that check out phones for claims like these. Either this posting is a lesson about falsely reporting on your busted phone, or watch out for exploding phones.

If you happen to know, give Apple a call, because they’re looking as well; that is according to a recent posting on the Cupertino based company’s hiring website.

The Cellular Systems Performance Engineer position in particular mentions that the candidate be familiar with various forms of CDMA tech, among other preferences.

Hmm, now if we could just figure out why in the world Apple would need a CDMA engineer. Anyone know? We’re drawing a blank here.

Do you remember how Verizon put an iPhone screen on an ad for Droid X? Some similar mistake was made, this time with the Samsung Continuum.

The Verizon Continuum prides itself in having that secondary screen at the bottom, but I don’t see that here. This looks more like the Fascinate.
