Instructions:

1. Open iTunes (make sure it v8.2) and connect your iPod Touch/iPhone.

2. Select iPhone/iPod Touch under ‘Devices’ on the left.

3. If you’re using Windows: Hold down the shift key, and click on the restore button. If you’re using a Mac: Hold down the ‘option’ key, and click on the restore button.

4. iTunes will pop up with a window which will let you browse the .ipsw firmware file you want to restore with.

5. Wait while OS 3.0 firmware is installed.

If you get an unknown error when updating your ipod /iphone its because u NEED to have iTunes 8.2 otherwise it will not allow you to update!!!!

How to install

1. Open iTunes and connect your iPod or iPhone

This one works without wifi

Before you can follow these instructions you must have a jailbroken iPhone and you must be on the 04.26.08 baseband(modem firmware). This means that you must be running the 3.0 firmware and have used PwnageTool or RedSn0w to jailbreak.(i’ll add the links for firmware and RedSn0w)

So after you have upgraded fw to 3.0 and jailbreaked with Redsn0w, connect your iphone turned on to usb cable just run "Unlock3G_3.0.bat" and reboot after that.

Else if you have a iphone with fw 3.0+jailbreaked with wifi connection you cann follow this:

add the repo repo666.ultrasn0w.com to cydia or icy

Search for ‘ultrasn0w’ in cydia or icy and install ultrasn0w

Reboot your iPhone 3G

T-Mobile USA users should disable 3G before using ultrasn0w
