We have watched the Clear iSpot come about just recently, and it is a hotspot for terrific 4G.
I’m not certain if this eventually led to its downfall as it could only work with iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches. Clear would charge less than $100 for the hotspot itself and then $25 a month for unlimited 4G access with a maximum of 6Mbps.
According to my Source, Clear is getting rid of the iSpot. Part of it is because “MAC address filtering was easily defeated and plagued with reports that even approved devices were being denied access, suggesting that the concept probably wasn’t a solid one in the first place”.
Clear will be able to get you an iSpot as long as the are in inventory, but don’t expect that to last long.
