WinterBoard is one of my favorite jailbreak apps because it allows me to customize my iPhone and make it “stand out” from the crowd. One of the latest tweaks I found to push the customization a little further is to have a full custom UI.

There is a great-looking UI tweak available in Cydia called Matte UI Graphite.

RiP Dev has released a free update to their iPhone package installer tool, InstallerApp, for both Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows.

Among other things, we have ensured it works on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, removed support for Installer repositories (that are no longer supported anyway), and stripped off the Pusher technology in favor of the existing jailbreak solutions such as PwnageTool and redsn0w. To install stuff onto the iPhone, simply install package named InstallerApp Support from Cydia or Icy on the device (from our repository apt.ripdev.com) and there you go!

InstallerApp is now 1.2 Mb (or 4.2 for Microsoft Windows) as opposed to 17 Mb before.

AttachmentSaver is a new application that adds an extension which allows you to save your email attachments directly to your iPhone. This feature should be available by default but for some obscure reasons, Apple hasn’t deemed it necessary…

AttachmentSaver gives you the ability to download attachments of all types, whether supported by the Mail.app or not, and save them into a folder on your iPhone disk.

Files are downloaded to ~/Library/Downloads (/private/var/mobile/Library/Attachments) and it’s recommended to install iFile to access the attachments you download.

This app is available from the Cydia Store for $1.99.

      I know many of you have jailbroken your iPhones, and have most likely done something in the way of customizing the iPhone GUI. One of the features that Apple left out of the iPhone is the ability to change the homescreen wallpaper, and that’s just plain unreasonable to many iPhone users. However, the Dev-Team and Saurik have allowed this feature and many others with the creation of the Jailbreak and Winterboard.
