We may not use cash as often as we once did, but there are still times when it comes in handy or is necessary, and that can pose some problems for the visually impaired. They now have one other possible solution courtesy of LookTel, however, which has just released its new Money Reader app for iOS devices. Using a “patented and proprietary object recognition technology,” it’s able to recognize paper bills (from $1 to $100) instantly, and simply speaks the value aloud. What’s more impressive, though, is that you don’t need to hold the bill steady in front of the camera, or even have the whole thing in the frame — even just thumbing through a stack will work. See for yourself in the video after the break, and hit up the App Store to grab it now for $1.99.

This is an ad for Dracula, an iPad App that is an interactive eBook of the Bram Stoker’s classic. As you can see, it uses a game engine to bring the most famous vampire story to life with lots of special effects.
It is clearly designed for a Halloween release, and definitely for all the Twilight fans as well. I don’t seem to have a release date or a price on this thing.
The people that like this might the Helsing Fire iPhone App.

Yes, it will be a crazy holiday season for tablets, and I have confirmed reports that the iPad is definitely coming to Best Buy. It will start on September 26th, and the iPad will be stocked (if they can keep it in stock) at all 1,093 stores.

Making Future Magic: iPad light painting from Dentsu London on Vimeo.
We have talked about using holograms before such as the Trou Hologram Concept phone, Concept design Dew, and the Concept iPhone 5. Unfortunately, what you see here isn’t really true holograms from an iPad.
Yeah, these are not holograms, but they cannot be done without the iPad. It also uses three-dimensional typography, objects, and animations. It is essentially dragging an iPad through the air and use long exposure photos to make some makeshift 3D animation.
It is created by Dentsu London and BERG, and I hope to see it evolve to 3D iPad technology.
