The folks out at Geeks.com have once again sent me another doozy of a product, part of their laptop carrying cases and refurbished computers line, in the form of the Sharper Image Airluxe, a bag that proves that there’s always room for more. More what?
More absolutely ANYTHING, that’s what.
One of the things I love most about writing reviews on computer bags is that I have sufficient facilities on hand to do a full test lab on them. And this thing is inconceivably huge. For instance, you can see in the pictures I’ve taken with the Sharper Image Airluxe that a Standard Fifteen Inch HP Testing Laptop (caps are all mine for added entertainment value) has at least two compartments that it can fit into so easily that it almost disappears from view.
Just in case two cavernous center pockets aren’t sufficient for you, there are an extra three pockets–one to the rear that’s not very big at all and two to the front that are bigger.
And for added fun, there’s a top mounted zipper pocket that holds what you see in the third picture, an extension bar for rolling the bag, in either push or pull.
See, that’s the really great thing about the Sharper Image Airluxe–it’s one of those bags that’s not so much a laptop bag as it is a network bag. Fitting two notebooks in here, with a router and assorted cables, would not be a difficult task. And it does an excellent job of carrying–I scarcely notice the difference between moving the two around. Seriously, I almost couldn’t tell that the Standard Fifteen Inch HP Testing Laptop was even in the bag when I was moving it around.
And the best part is, it’s yours for a whopping thirty three bucks.
The Sharper Image Airluxe is a terrific laptop bag that comes cheap and offers enough room for a small network. If you want a great way to carry around a whole lot of stuff, and not shell out a lot of cash for it, then this is definitely the way to go.
The Good
Incredible cargo capacity
Terrific weight distribution
Multiple carrying options
The Bad
All it does is carry stuff
Score: 8 / 10
