There’s no shortage of devices that aim to replace your always-missing remote control with your always-present smartphone, and the Peel is one of the more recent and unique entries into the space. glee 2011 03 09 Peel universal remote adapter for iOS now available, $99 buys you expensive Fruit

You know your product name is clever when not one but two companies go for it. Such is the name “Peel.” This offering we’re talking about is not the sort that turns an iPod into an iPhone, rather it’s the kind that turns an iPhone into a universal remote — though it’ll work with all the other iOS devices too. It’s a combination app and hardware that we’ve been tracking since last year, and now it’s up for order. The iOS app talks to a goofy shaped IR blaster, called the Fruit, which costs $99. The combination turns your mobile device into a Harmony-hunting universal remote, but a smarter one that not only knows how to turn on your TV but also how to tune it to the latest episode of Glee, apparently, since every promo shot seems to feature some bit of gleekery. The app is free now and the Fruit is up for purchase — though it’s currently showing as back ordered. Let’s hope it doesn’t spoil.

I suppose that it is just natural that we report on this deal from Wirefly. Right now, they are offering the Samsung Fascinate for $9.99. This is provided you are a new Verizon customer and agree to a two-year agreement.

The $9.99 deal is limited for two phones, and costs $29.99 for additional lines.

skyfire android 280x199 Skyfire Mobile Browser now has one million usersSome of you might know about Skyfire, a Flash-enabled browser that is quite popular amongst Android users. There is still no word of it coming to the iPhone just as yet, but it does have one million users.

I suppose that there isn’t much to say other than that. It does work with a variety of phones such as the HTC EVO 4G, Droid Incredible, Droid X, Droid 2, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S.

Skyfire is currently available in version 2.3.2 from Android.

Galaxy tab 203x280 Looks like AT&T has the Galaxy TabI think we reported how we thought the Galaxy Tab was coming to all major carriers: Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile.

According to my Source, it looks like AT&T will be carrying the Samsung Galaxy Tab. I don’t know whether or not they will be the only carrier, so perhaps our original report was true.

Considering the rumor of the new iPad coming this holiday, the Tab and iPad could be having a war.
