For those of you wanting more soccer action than FIFA 2011, prepare for Bonecruncher soccer!
This is a soccer game that has the player running down a field, with tilting for control. There are also a bunch of buttons for moves and dodges, and finger swipes for other moves. For example, you have to flick your finger in order to shoot a goal. I’m not sure how this compares to other soccer gaming apps like Real Soccer 2010 and Virtual Soccer Ball.
You should be able to purchase it at the App store for about $0.99.

Ever wanted to control your Mac from your iPhone while still being able to fully customize everything you can do? Sure there are remote control apps out there, but many of them require software on both the iPhone and the desktop (and are rarely free).
Brett Terpstra has developed a working PHP script called HomeControl that will let you control your Mac from within Mobile Safari. The experience has a native iPhone look and feel and it mimics the iOS UI controls… Read More

This is Apple Remote, and it has nothing to do with using the iPhone as a Universal remote.
This Apple Remote is an interface for the iPhone 4 and plays really nice with the new Retina display. My Source says that the Remote “looks like the native iPod app on the iPad”, so much so that it seems like having a “lean and fast version of iTunes on a touchscreen”.
You can get iPhone Remote in version 2.0 form.

No surprises here, but Apple’s just released version 2.0 of the Remote app for iPhone and iPad, which adds in support for the new iOS-based Apple TV in addition to iTunes on OS X. The interface is mostly the same — a trackpad-like screen for ATV remote control and an iPod-like interface for more direct media playback — but it’s now optimized for the Retina display on the iPhone 4 and the larger screen size of the iPad. Since the new Apple TV is streaming-only, Remote also now has better support for controlling shared music libraries, making remote control of iTunes on your HTPC slightly easier as well. It’s available now and it’s free, so go grab it.

I have seen many devices promise to turn your iPhone into a universal remote before. The Voomote One, the My TV remote, and Thinkflood’s RedEye are just some examples. Acoustic Research has added to this mix with the Zentral, and IR blaster that not only works with the iPhone, but there is a BlackBerry version as well.
All that is required is to tell what kind of AV equipment that you are running, and it is easy to program all sorts of macros for it.
The Bridge transforms the WiFi Bluetooth signal from your phone when you hit a control into an IR signal to your gear. If you can’t point the bridge at your equipment stack, you can put it on top of your gear and snake included wired IR emitters to up to three devices.
You should be able to get the Zentral for the iPhone for $80 and the BlackBerry version will be $70 along with the apps, in December.
