As the pre-orders for the iPad have begun, more and more information is becoming available about the device that we previously did not know.

The biggest information that has come out from this is about what happens if the battery of the iPad fails. From earlier experience, we do know that Apple will service the iPhone for a fee, but what about the iPad?
Well good news is that Apple has announced that it will replace your device with a brand new one, without any questions asked.
According to the latest FAQ page from Apple regarding the iPad, it seems that Apple is offering to replace your iPad for a service fee of $99 in case your iPad battery dies. Although it’s difficult to tell whether this is just a statement or a serious deal, but there are definitely some pros and cons to your iPad being replaced for $99. It is predicted that most probably, for this price, you’ll be getting a refurbished unit.
If your iPad battery died, and you had to pay $99, what would you choose? Would you let Apple change the battery, letting you keep your own iPad, which you have now become emotionally attached with, or would you be happier with a “new” refurbished unit?
