Android – Iphone – Applications

Well, that was a wee bit quicker than we expected, but Apple has released iOS 4.3.3 to the public.

Although the update was initially said to be released sometime in the next few weeks (it was about a week ago when they stated this), it looks like Apple has finished testing and has opted to release iOS 4.3.3 ahead of schedule.

Why the rush to release such an minor update? It’s just a sneaking suspicion, but it might have something to do with the bad press that Apple’s been receiving as of late due to a certain location tracking bug…(…)

If your iPhone is jailbroken/unlocked, the first thing to do is to make sure you do not update to iOS 4.3.3. Updating will supercede your jailbreak, rendering it useless. As always when Apple releases an update to the software, make sure you hold on until new jailbreak/unlock is available… (…)

Some good news for jailbreakers coming from comex himself. Apparently, Apple hasn’t fixed the exploit used by iPhone hacker i0n1c in his 4.3.2 jailbreak. What does that mean? Well it means that you might not be able to jailbreak and untether iOS 4.3.3 right now, but it’s just a matter of time.

The Dev Team will most likely update PwnageTool and RedSn0w in the very near future, and provide us with stable and reliable jailbreaks. You can probably also expect iH8Sn0w to update Sn0wBreeze… (…)

A little after Apple released iOS 4.3.3 earlier today, we got the confirmation that the company hadn’t patched i0n1c’s untethered jailbreak exploit. That’s good news for jailbreakers who will most likely get updated jailbreak tools from the Dev Team shortly.

In the meanwhile, if you can’t wait for an officially updated jailbreak, you can still run the latest version of RedSn0w over your iPhone 4.3.3. It will be a tethered jailbreak but that will get you going until RedSn0w, PwnageTool, or Sn0wBreeze get an update… (…)
