As reported on iPhone game site TouchArcade.com, Apple has finally approved a Commodore 64 emulator called C64 for sale on the App Store. The emulator had originally been rejected by Apple in June for violations of the SDK agreement, despite being officially licensed from both rights holders of the Commodore ROMs and the individual games bundled.
Apple has since been in contact with the company and a slightly modified version of the application has been approved for sale. In particular, Apple appears to have requested the removal of the Commodore BASIC interpreter from the application which allows running arbitrary code.

It seems that we have evidence to support the rumor that Palm is gearing up to launch their webOS touting Eos sometime next month. According to TechCruch, Palm will unveil the phone sometime next week in leiu of Fashion Week.
This would somewhat make sense since the Eos is said to feature a low price and sleek design. Either way, we won’t know if this phone even exists (although we do have some proof) until Palm makes an official announcement. We’ll keep you posted.
Sprint has come up with quite the incentive — It seems that the carrier will offer those who port their numbers from another carrier and purchase a Palm Pre with a 2-year contract $100 worth of service credit.
Before you get too excited, know that Sprint has already pulled this promotion saying it was “put into the system in error”. However, those who purchased a Palm Pre during the promotion will be rewarded with the $100 worth of service credit.
Perhaps we will see this promotion resurface at some point in the near future?
