“Great idea and a really useful App. I’ve bought several iPhone Apps but this is the only one that I’ve taken the time to review. Very cool info. Great statistics. News feeds from Boston papers, WEEI, and blogs all in one spot. I also bought the Bruins and Patriots Apps. Highly recommended.”

THE FANMISERY.COM INDEX
We’ve created a method that calculates a FanMisery.com Index (FMI) based on relative strengths of a unique set of statistics and opinions. The FMI is conceptually similar to the S&P 500 Index – it’s a value between 0 and 10 where 0 indicates bliss and 10 represents the ultimate misery that you as a fan could ever envision.
FEED YOUR OBSESSION
The White Sox FMI is calculated daily throughout the season – and off-season! Statistics are updated after each game during the season. Opinions are updated daily throughout the year based on your votes – you are the fan! News is updated in real time – directly from a variety of national and local newspapers, broadcast media, and blogs. This App will keep you dialed into your White Sox!
STATISTICS
Have you ever seen something happen on the field that really excites or bothers you as a fan? FMI statistics try to capture those “fan moments” – displayed in the App with detail and perspective relative to historical ranges from poor to excellent with a weather symbol (from sunny to cloudy) to help you visualize where your team stands with a quick glance. Is your bullpen blowing saves? Is the team driving in runs with runners in scoring position? Can your leadoff hitter buy his way on base? Are your shortstop and center fielder getting to balls? Visit FanMisery.com for a complete list of included statistics.
OPINIONS
The opinions featured in our Apps offer perspective on elements of the team/organization/players that matter to you as a fan. What is your historical level of pain/despair? Has the team lost its mojo? What is the probability that your team will win it all? What is the level of buzz around your team? Do you believe in karma? You’re the fan – you vote on opinions from within the App and determine their value within the FMI calculations.
NEWS
You’ll always be current with the latest up to the minute news on your team – directly from a variety of sources including newspaper, broadcast media, and blog feeds. Let us know your favorite news source or team blog and we’ll add it to the App.
