Board games are pretty much a staple for family gatherings, rainy nights, and times of complete boredom. The rules of the games are just as they were before, but now all you need are your fingers and the touch screen. While the graphics could be spruced up a little, the simplicity is nice, and keeps the games as we remember them. Furthermore, you don’t have to be anticipating a group setting to enjoy Board Master HD — there are plenty of options for single or multi-person play.
Not to be greedy, but I feel that Board Master could easily include more games, like Backgammon, or even branch out to include card games as well. To be able to hold true to the claim of “Board Master,” these additions seem pretty crucial. However, I do think apps like Board Master HD and devices like the iPad are going to revolutionize the way we conduct board game nights. While the experience might not be exactly the same, the clutter certainly won’t be missed! Especially if you have young kids around, Board Master HD is a perfect game to get everyone involved in a good, wholesome time.
