I can barely function when I’ve forgotten my phone somewhere, so chances are good that I’d probably curl up and die if I were ever stranded alone on a deserted tropical island. All the same, adventure games like Return to Mysterious Island give me this crazy sense of false hope that I could somehow [...]
The first is the Bold 9650, which has 802.11b/g WiFi, 3.2 Megapixel camera, GPS, a new optical trackpad, and support for US EV-DO Rev A networks or UMTS/HSPDA. As for the Pearl 3G, it also has the 3.2 Megapixel camera, GPS, and the new optical trackpad. Unlike the Bold 9650, it has 802.11n Wi-Fi, as well as triband HSDPA data with quadband GSM/EDGE. The Bold 9650 will launched next month on Sprint, while the Pearl 3G will go to Bell, Telus, and Rogers in Canada.
Why is it that I can get the web on my iPod Touch wirelessly, but when it comes to syncing it with my computer, it is a totally tethered experience? A new app known as WiFi Sync hopes to change all of that. Sounds too good to be true? Right now, it is. The problem with it now is the user has to use a yet-to-be authorized interaction of iTunes. Of course, one would ask why the iPod Touch and iPhone don’t have this wireless capability already. I can only imagine it is because Apple doesn’t want it that way. Seriously, Apple, you don’t want faster and more convenient transfer speeds for users to sync with your devices? All I got to say to that is: You got to give the people, give the people what they want.
It has some “patented Gel Audio technology” which promises to “produce bass frequencies about three octaves below any other comparable device”. It also has about 20 hours of use from the rechargeable battery, and is “the perfect companion for the iPad”. You can see the video below of it in action after the jump. The WOWee One costs $79.99 and is available in three colors.
I realize that most of you associate Acme with a Looney Tunes corporation that makes everything you need to try and stop a roadrunner, but Acme Made is a real company in San Francisco that makes excellent iPad cases like the Skinny and the Slick. The first is the Skinny, a StretchShell neoprene cover that has an interior screen guard for protecting the touchscreen from scratches. As for the Slick, it is a zippered case which contains a compartment for power cables and other accessories. The Skinny is available for about $29.99, while the Slick is about $39.99. |

I wasn’t able to make it to the WES 2010 BlackBerry show this year, but I’m already early on some leaked BlackBerries models.
I’ve seen devices that can turn a simple flat surface into a speaker, and here is another with the WOWee One (not to be confused with WowWee, maker of some cool toys).
