I’m sure you’ve probably heard of Meebo by now, and it has just received an update for the iPhone 4.
Meebo is an IM app that supports AIM, Facebook, Google Talk, ICQ, Windows Live, and Yahoo. You will receive push notifications even when the app is closed, and stay connected when you move from Edge to 3G to WiFi.
Granted, there is no Facebook integration this time around, but it is still absolutely free.

This is Sensorly, an App for Android which can help you find what you want: 4G connectivity.
It does this using crowdsources data as well as using information from other users in order to put all of this information into a map.
As you can see, there is a map here with some green area in the New York area to show where the hotspots actually are.
I suppose that there will come a day when the green will dominate the map, but today isn’t that day.

It seems like I have been seeing a lot of concept iPhones with holograms before, like the iPhone 5, and here is another concept that we may or may not ever see.
This Next Generation iPhone is nothing more than a wrist band, and simply projects onto the hand for a new definition of palm pilot. I’m not certain how it could detect what App you are using.
This could be the future, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it is.

A recent addition to the LG mobile phone lineup, the LG GS170, gave me more than a few troubles recently when I went to have a look at it. It did offer some welcome features, and some worthwhile facets to its operation, but it’s also got a lot of problems to it–a LOT of them.
The LG GS170 is a flip phone that offers Bluetooth connectivity, speakerphone, three different kinds of messaging capability (text, picture and instant), a phone book with sufficient capacity for a thousand entries, alarm clock, notepad, calculator, voice recorder, a VGA camera (shoots in your choice of 640

Not stoked on Skype or FaceTime? Looks like you’ve got another option, bub. That overhauled Yahoo Messenger app we told you about 48 hours ago is now live in the App Store, offering multitasking on the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, 3G / WiFi video calling (iOS to iOS, iOS to Android or iOS to PC) and instant notifications. Users interested in making voice calls can also tap into their bucket of Yahoo Voice Phone Out minutes, but it’ll only work in America, France, Germany, Spain and Singapore at the moment. Hit that source link to get your download on, cool?
Updated Yahoo Messenger app now live in App Store, 3G video calling bonanza awaits you originally appeared on Engadget on Mon, 11 Oct 2010 20:29:00 EST. Please see our terms for use of feeds.
