A follow up to the first sushi instructional app, Teach Me Sushi Expert has the same informative, quality video instruction as the original Teach Me Sushi, but includes a few added features. Teach Me Sushi Expert showcases recipes and video instruction for 8 new kinds of sushi most commonly found in restaurants, including Shrimp Tempura, Temari and Philadelphia Roll.
As with the original, this expert addition features both step-by-step and video instructions for preparing and making sushi and each type of sushi includes a bit of information pertaining to its composition, flavor, texture, and so on. Some of the returning features include the sushi equipment list and rice timer.
A few cool new features also make an appearance in this sequel, the most notable being the sushi calculator shopping list. Simply input the number of people you plan to serve, select the types of sushi you plan to prepare, and you’ll get a list of how much of each ingredient you need to pull it off. There is also a Google Map locator of Japanese markets where supplies or ingredients can be obtained. (…)

Let’s be clear, or at least ethereally translucent – it’s hard to get a really good scare out of your iPhone, unless of course you’re getting calls from the hereafter, or you have the cell number of the Beast. The screen’s too small, for one thing. The only time your iPhone will really scare you is when you get the auto-text that your bill has been deducted the first month after adding your stepson to your limited-minutes AT&T plan.
If you want your iPad to scare you, go to youtube and type in “real ghost video.” You’ll get hundreds of options all beginning with somber white type on a black background announcing something along the lines of “what you are about to see is real.”
But for fun and interactivity, you still can’t beat the iWorld. So for Halloween fun for all ages, read on – and believe it or not, we’ve found some apps to make the hair on the back of your neck stand up too! (…)

It’s hard to categorize CosmicPainter, unless you’re familiar with the world of VJing. That’s a special place where it’s deemed important to be able to create patterned artwork in motion, because sometimes you just need peoples’ eyeballs glued to a screen displaying no representative visual content.
Just as music can simply be sound with no meaning, images can just be images. Keep those images in one spot, and you’ve got abstract art. Set them in motion, and you’ve got Cosmic Painter. This app may be what Timothy Leary was raving on about when he said computer graphics would be the next LSD.
CosmicPainter supplies motion to the canvas as you “paint” using a variety of tools, creating real-time (and very cool) animations. With a comparatively simple palette of painting tools, you create patterns against the moving background, producing ever-changing eye-candy effortlessly and intuitively. It’s painting for someone who doesn’t want to paint anything in particular. You’re just choosing whatever aesthetic effect you think will please your eye at the moment.
In a word, CosmicPainter is Art with a capital “A”: inherently meaningless, useless, and endlessly pleasing. (…)

Could this be a sign of the impending release of the white iPhone 4? In the latest update to Apple’s Store App for the iPhone, which features new concierge integration among other things, the white iPhone 4 is indeed available for reservation.
Whether or not this means that the issues surrounding the product’s production have been completely ironed out, and a release is right around the corner, is of course anyone’s guess. You have to admit, though, it’s certainly an encouraging sign for those who are still holding out…

Since the release of the iPhone 4 and its brilliant Retina Display, the amount of available themes for jailbreakers has been greatly diminished. First, the jailbreak for iOS 4 took some time, and once it happened it seemed no one was quick to convert their existing themes to match the stunning Retina Display quality. A few have started to crop up, now that the jailbreak for iPhone 4 seems permanent.
Themes seemed like a lot of fun when I first jailbroke my iPhone, but they quickly lost their novelty as they were often battery hogs and well, just plain tacky. But sometimes I like to change it up, and now I know the simpler the theme, the better. (Hey, kind of like Apple’s design… imagine that!) Enter the Glasklart HD theme, designed especially for iPhone 4.
