While hardware manufacturers have only just recently been able to get their Android 2.2 updates out the door Android 2.3, otherwise known as Gingerbread, is already making the rounds. Thanks to some early developer builds, hackers within the Android community have been able to port Gingerbread to some of today’s hottest smartphones. The latest of such smartphones to get the Gingerbread treatment is the Motorola Droid X.
Of course, to get down on this you’re going to have to have a rooted Droid X but once that is all set in stone you should be good to go. As always is the case with unofficial software, make sure you proceed at your own risk. Only those who have either done this before or who are feeling quite ballsy should attempt to go forward with the installation.
Got it? Good, now head here for the instructions.
