ASUS was one of the first companies of CES to come forth with a whole slew of announcements regarding everything from smartphones to tablets. However, while we saw a whole slew of product announcements come from the company we’ve yet to see an official price point or release date for just about any of said products. Luckily, everyone’s favorite online retailer Amazon.com is there to fill in the plans as the Eee Slate EP121 has just gone up for pre-order.
This 12.1-inch Windows 7 touting tablets features things like an Intel Core i5 processor, up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of SSD storage making it a perfect offering for those looking for a mobile powerhouse. However, without Google’s Android in tow, it may be a potential turn off due to the fact that Windows 7 hasn’t exactly recieved critical acclaim as a tablet platform.
Anyways, like I said, the Eee Slate EP121 has gone up for pre-order with a listed price of $999. While this isn’t exactly official, we can’t see the EP121 costing much less or more than this expected price point.
Anyone looking to pick up a Windows 7 tablet like the EP121 or would you rather wait for something like the Motorola XOOM?
AT&T has dropped the cost of the LG Quantum and the Samsung Focus to $99.99 on a two-year contract. Both phones have the Windows 7 Phone operating system on them. The LG Quantum has a QWERTY…

It’s been known for a while that LG would be announcing a tablet powered by Google’s Android mobile operating system but exactly what device it is to be is anyone’s guess. We did receive leaks that they would be announcing a device called the LG Optimus Tab but it seems that they have some different plans up their sleeve.
T-Mobile and LG have sent out a press release announcing a new device dubbed the G-Slate. We have virtually nothing to go by in terms of this devices specs other than the fact that it runs Google’s Android ‘Honeycomb‘ 3.0 and will feature HSPA+ connectivity. The press release did, however, point towards the above video which does nothing more than formally announce Android 3.0 which is heavily optimized for use with tablets.
Check out the aforementioned press release after the break.
