Google has released their popular Android shopping app in the App Store. Shopping results have been part of Google’s web search for a long time, and the Android app is used by millions of people for mobile shopping.
Google Shopper for the iPhone delivers shopping results through text, image and voice search. If you’ve ever used Google shopping results on the web, you’ll immediately understand how to use Google Shopper on the iPhone. Instead of restricting your results to, for example, Amazon’s catalog (Price Check for iPhone), Google Shopper will present you with compared results from various vendors on the internet.
The goal with Google Shopper is to give you more informed and objective results from various product vendors. The app is simple and effective at searching for products you encounter on the go with your iPhone…
One of the most anticipated announcements at this year’s MWC is the Xperia Play from Sony Ericsson otherwise known as the PlayStation Phone. While the company has yet to confirm this device’s existence it has been leaked more times than we can remember. Some major sites like Engadget have even managed to get their hands on a leaked prototype giving it the full hands-on treatment.
If you needed anymore confirmation of the Xperia Play’s existence, DROIDNYTT has gotten their hands on an official commercial for the device, shown above. Unfortunately, the commercial doesn’t do much else than show an Android mascot with thumbs creepily grafted on but it certainly gives a more official feel to all the leaks we’ve been seeing.
Be sure to stick around for Mobile World Congress this month where we will be covering the official unveiling of the Xperia Play.
What you are seeing here is a watch band for the iPod Nano, sixth generation. It isn’t anything we haven’t seen before, like the Incipio Linq and the iWatch.
I’m not certain if this New Nike Plus Friendly iPod Nano Watch Band is related to the HEX watch that we reported on a while ago, but the “HEX Sport Watch Band protects and stores the iPod nano® during intense workouts and features a NIKE Plus® port for added functionality”.
The Sport Band features a Pop in and Pop out design for easy insertion of the iPod nano. You can access all of the iPod nano controls with the integrated control buttons. The band is made out of perforated premium silicone for “added breathability and comfort during athletic activities”.
The HEX Sport Watch Band should be available in April 2011 for a price of $29.95.
There are many apps that you can check for the weather like Google and the Weather Channel, but sometimes you just want a simple thermometer.
Thermo gives you that and more, and it will give you the temperature outside with the pretty blue for cold and electric red for hot. In addition to showing the present temperature, it has the temperature for yesterday.
This brings you “context”, allowing users to compare how much colder or hotter it is from the day before. This is a feature missing from many weather apps. You can check the current local temperature from across the world.
This App is free, but an Ad-Free version is available with purchase of $1.
The DreamPlug is an interesting device that is essentially a portable computer, only there is no video card for any output.
Its purpose is to provide the user with space enough for programs. It has a Marvell Sheeva 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, as well as a lot of ports.
Normally, these type of computers have one plug, but this one has plenty with 2x Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 Mbps ports, 2x USB 2.0 ports, 1x eSATA 2.0 port, a 1x SD socket for user expansion, not to mention WiFi and Bluetooth.
The DreamPlug is available for $149, and it will ship later in this month.
