Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) made an announcement back in January that said that they have decided to no longer censor results on Google.cn, the Chinese version of their search engine. Three months after that, Google started redirecting Google.cn traffic to Google.hk, the Hong Kong version of their website.
The Chinese government was not happy with this so they responded by saying
that if Google does not censor their content, then they will not be able to renew their Internet Content Provider license on June 30th — meaning Google.cn will go offline.
Now Google.cn will be censored, but there is a link on the homepage to Google.hk which will remained to have uncensored content. The shutting down of Google.cn would be a “prospect dreaded by many of our Chinese users,” according to Google Chief Legal Officer David Drummond.

Former Facebook CTO Adam D’Angelo has confirmed Google Me. Google Me is an upcoming social network being created by Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) to take on Facebook as first announced by Digg CEO Kevin Rose.
D’Angelo placed the following message was placed on Quora, a Q&A website created by D’Angelo himself:
Here is what I’ve pieced together from some reliable sources:
- This is not a rumor. This is a real project. There are a large number of people working on it. I am completely confident about this.
- They realized that Buzz wasn’t enough and that they need to build out a full, first-class social network. They are modeling it off of Facebook.
- Unlike previous attempts (before Buzz at least), this is a high-priority project within Google.
- They had assumed that Facebook’s growth would slow as it grew, and that Facebook wouldn’t be able to have too much leverage over them, but then it just didn’t stop, and now they are really scared.

David Romhan Torres has succeeded in getting iMovie to run on his iPhone 3GS with little difficulties.
I just make iMovie for iphone 4 run on an iphone 3GS, it’s very simple just download the file, modify info.plist file and change the Minimum system version to 3.0.0 and UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities/front-facing-camera to false
Take a look at the video below posted by RedmondPie. They’ve posted some instructions as well; however, the installation of the modified ipa requires circumventing Apple’s DRM so we can’t post a full tutorial.

With the latest update, Truphone is now able to run in the background and also allows the app to make phone calls while multitasking, just as if you are using the built in phone feature. Truphone can now always be on, turning the app into a viable alternative to real cell phone minute usage.
Truphone is a leading VoIP provider that lets you talk for free to other Truphone users, as well as Skype and Google Talk users, over 3G or WiFi. Truphone also sends SMS messages for free and connects with most popular IM providers and Twitter to give you the ultimate platform for sending and receiving messages.
With so many online services out there that people use, it only makes sense to download the free Truphone app that connects to them all. Give it a whirl, especially if you are using iOS4 on an iPhone or iPod Touch.

Readdle, creators of ReaddleDocs, an excellent file viewer/manager for iPhone, are dipping into the calender app arena with the simply-named Calendars.
Calendars is powered by Google Calendar and features a slew of features and a lovely interface. You can drag-and-drop events just like in Google Calendar, set SMS reminders, and add events with a single tap. List, month, and day view are all available; you can invite others to your calendar; a handy undo button lets your reverse accidental drag-and-drops.
Perhaps most importantly, however, Calendars downloads your data to the app itself, so you can access and edit your data offline or online. For WiFi-bound iPod Touch users like me, this one is particularly important.
Calendars is available for $6.99 in the App Store and will run on any device with iOS 3.0 or later.
