Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) CEO Steve Ballmer has confirmed that tablets powered by the Windows operating system will be available by this Christmas. “As a company, we need to cover all form factors,” Ballmer told a group of students and alumni at the London School of Economics. “We’ve done work on a Windows tablet, and you’ll see slates with Windows on from this Christmas.” Ballmer indicated that Microsoft will be partnering with multiple hardware companies at the annual Worldwide Partner Conference in Washington D.C. this past July.
