Android – Iphone – Applications

The App Store is jam packed with eReader competitors. Apple, Amazon, Google and Barnes & Noble all have a presence with apps for their respective platforms. A new eReader app has joined the pack with a unique proposition for solitary bookworms.

Kobo differentiates itself by taking a more social approach to the eReader experience. Sharing, awards and notifications are all give a distinctly different experience with Kobo than with its competitors.

Reading and sharing earn you awards, much the same way gaining badges works in Foursquare. A reading stats tab tracks your reading tendencies and progress, with some pretty neat statistics and charts that give insight into your reading habits. The activity tab is a Facebook-like stream of the new books you started as well as awards won. Some books also include a “Faces and Places” feature, which highlights characters and locations.

Well, well, well. Look what we found while perusing MuscleNerd’s Twitter account… This could be an indication that prodigy iPhone hacker Geohot might be doing yet another come back, this time with an untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1.

This tweet was sent by MuscleNerd a couple of days ago in reply to someone telling him, Chpwn and others to stop all the drama. Now this could be MuscleNerd’s way of getting people off his back, or it could very well be the truth… Read More

Ever wanted to turn your iPhone into a skateboard? Yeah, me neither but it’s good to know that if we change our mind, we’ll be able to. Of course this won’t turn your iPhone into a real skateboard, but it will definitely give it the look and feel of one.

I just spotted this skateboard back cover and wraps on Etsy, and one thing is sure: the designer behind it did a great job at roughing up this iPhone 4 customization kit… Read More
