metropcslogo MetroPCS 4G LTE Comes to New York City, Sacramento and Boston

3G mobile broadband has been the standard for quite some time across pretty much every major wireless carrier here in the US. 4G, on the other hand, has quickly become the talk of the town with wireless carriers across the board looking to make the shift. Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile have been doing a good job with their LTE, WiMAX and HSPA+ networks, respectively, but MetroPCS is looking to make their mark as well.

In fact, MetroPCS has a huge announcement today regarding their LTE network. According to the wireless carrier, their 4G LTE network has just gone live in New York City, Boston and Sacramento. This is great news as a 4G roll-out in cities as big as these means a ton of people will be able to benefit.

Unfortunately, it seems that we are still a ways off from having a nationwide roll out from any of these carriers but it’s coming, and fast. Like, 4G fast.

Press release after the break.

motorolacliq Motorola CLIQ 2 Name Passes Through Trademark Offices

When a device is leaked it usually makes its way to market at some point or another. One of the most famous cases of this was with the iPhone 4 but at the time of the leaking, many wondered how much Apple would change before bringing it to market. This can’t be said with all devices as some devices that are leaked manage to disappear from the public eye and never see the light of day.

One device that we thought applied here is the Motorola CLIQ 2 powered by Google’s Android. However, it seems that the CLIQ 2 has not died just yet as the device’s name has appeared over at the US Patent and Trademark Office. Does this mean that the CLIQ 2 will finally be getting released on T-Mobile? With the holidays quickly approaching, we wouldn’t say it’s too farfetched of an assumption but as always we will have to wait and see.

500x carzozz 280x210 Carcassone comes to the iPadWe reported on Carcassone when it came to the iPhone, and it has just recently made its transition to the iPad.

The larger screen size is perfect for building a map with square tiles, including the roads, cities, and cloisters. You can play the game online against strangers or friends, and there is a solitary mode as well.

You should be able to get it for the iPad for about $10.

iprop 280x226 This is the iProp for the iPadHere’s a little device known as the iProp, which is quite a stand for an iPad.

As you can see, it is stand with a forked base, and comes with a gooseneck so the iPad can be at many angles. I believe that this is good enough to counter balance the iPad in its place.

You should be able to get the iProp in the Spring for sometime in $79.95 and you can pre-order it now.
