I’m surprised that we haven’t covered the portable document scanner Doxie before, but it has just received an update that is very Mobilewhack worthy.
Apparently, Version 1.2 of the Doxie software allows scanned items to be downloaded to the iPad or iPhone. You can also scan paper and photos directly to Evernote, Flickr, Google Docs.
This here might be the most funny and most annoying thing that you will see all day.
It is essentially two iPhones put together with the Talking Carl app. Talking Carl essentially allows you speak into your iPhone, and then have it repeat in a high-pitched voice. Now watch when you put two of these guys together. After a while, it becomes like an argument.
You can get Talking Carl for about $0.99. It is better than a text-to-speech app.
What you are seeing in this video is BlindType. It is one of many keyboard apps that do not require a piece of hardware like a Bluetooth Keyboard to get working.
It is not an approved App for iOS and Android, but I imagine that it will be. After all, how many other keyboard apps can let you make such terrible errors and still produce publishable content?
You got to like this one. I’d probably get it if it ever came to iTunes.
I’m sure that many iPhone 4 users have enjoyed the FaceTime feature. However, how do you know if your friends have it?
The answer may lie in getting the Faceplant App, which allows the user to enter in a name and phone number, and all contacts using the app will just show up with a status message and show whether they are connected to Wi-Fi.
There is no word on when Faceplant will be available, or how much it will cost. Try it out with 1-888-FACETIME.
