This is interesting. Engadget has a screenshot of the UK Apple Store that shows iOS 4.1 scheduled to be released on Wednesday, September 8th.
The US Website still shows the usual “Coming Soon” announcement so we’ll go out on a limb here and say that the 8th is the day. Any ideas on how this inconsistency of information happens? Read More

Apple promised better battery life with the iPhone 4 but let’s face it, it still falls short. But then again, depending on how you use it, a full charge can last anywhere from just a few hours to a couple of days (I’m being very generous). I’ll admit I’m a heavy iPhone user. It’s useful and I like it and being a heavy iPhone user obviously taxes the battery. I run very few things in the background to conserve battery life but I want more conservation. Read More

This is Shazam, and it has nothing to do with Captain Marvel. It recently came to the Android OS with Encore and Freemium.
It has now come to the iPhone, with an update to 3.0.0. It is most famous for identifying songs. This version has some iOS4 optimization, tag on startup, 30 second iTunes previews of the songs that are tagged.
You can preview music by listening to 30 second clips and Tag Results, Tag Chart, and Recommendations.
You should be able to get this for $4.99 at the iTunes store. It looks comparable to VEVO and MoodTunes.

This is a shot from Boston.com, an award winning photo blog with some very neat photos put there everyday.
It is now available for the iPad, and it gets new entries that are posted Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. You can view the photos in landscape mode for “optimal viewing and easy navigation”.
Version 2.0 has product enhancements like social sharing, and can be purchased for $2.99 on the iTunes App store. It doesn’t look similar to other photo apps like Photo Aquarium, Flex Photo Lab, or the Travel Photo Guides App.

This is StealthArmor, which is very similar to Colorware for the iPhone 4, BlackBerry, and iPad.
StealthArmor now has a skin for the iPhone and iPad with carbon fiber, which is available in red, pink, blue, yellow, orange, purple, and green.
I don’t have a price on this, but according to the Press Release on my Source states that shipping is flat rate of $6. That probably doesn’t help.
