lenovo Lenovo to have Honeycomb tablets, without Windows 7After I just finished reporting that Honeycomb notebooks could be at CES 2011, and it would appear that Lenovo wants to be on it.

As it turns out, Lenovo is planning on removing the Windows 7 from their notebook collection. This means that the tablet has to be released much later, like Summer 2011.

We will see when this comes out.

netflixiphoneapp Netflix iPhone App Gets Video Out Option

Thanks to the emergence of the various mobile application stores such as the Android Marketplace and iOS App Store, companies far and wide have been able to get their products onto millions of handheld devices. Netflix, for one, has a much loved mobile application that is available for devices such as the iPad and iPhone. This app allows you to stream videos isntantly from Netflix’s extensive line up straight to your device no matter where you may be.

Today, however, Netflix has announced that their iPhone app is getting even better as they have just given it a video out ability. What does this mean, exactly? Well, if you purchase an A/V kit that allows you to hook your iPhone up to an external display such as a television or projector you will actually be able to stream video from the cloud, to your iPhone, to your television.

This addition basically makes it unnecessary for iPhone touting consumers to purchase something like an Internet connected set-top box because they will now need nothing more than their phone to watch videos on the big screen. Pretty amazing, if you ask me.

ATT Data Cap How’s That 2GB Data Cap Treating You?

By now there’s been ample time to digest the consequences of AT&T’s 2 gigabyte data cap initiated earlier this summer. Would it be too little? Are the prices fair? These were some of the questions that only time and usage could aptly answer. Well, I’ve done the time, and I’ve certainly put in my fair share of mileage on my iPhone 4 to be able to draw a conclusion.

At $25 for 2,048 MB of data, that amounts to about .01220703 cents per megabyte. So a little over a penny per megabyte. Sounds fair enough. But cost was never the huge factor in my worries about AT&T’s new guidelines, real world usage was. In other words, how would my normal usage be affected by these new rules? Would I always have the data cap in the back of my mind causing me to stress unnecessarily? That’s something I didn’t want to have to put up with… Read More

xmsnap2 280x252 Introducting the XM SnapSirius XM has come up with the XM Snap, a radio that seems pretty simple to use, as far as XM devices go.

All that is required is that the user plugs it into their dash lighter, and then the antenna. The price is also pretty nice at about $59, but you will have to be an XM subscriber, though.

We’ll be seeing this in October.
