Having a device shipped over to the FCC is no laughing matter, since it requires the FCC’s approval before it can even be available for release to the mass market. Dell’s latest K08T tablet device comes in a convertible form factor, and has just made its way through the FCC.
Having won FCC approval for its WiMAX functionality, chances are pretty high for it to appear on Sprint’s 4G WiMAX service that is available Stateside, although pricing details and availability are still undecided as at press time.
The FCC label and SAR pics do point towards a tablet that boasts a full keyboard as well as what looks like a swiveling display. We could be working with a 12″ display here according to what the FCC has put up, and chances are pretty good this might be the WiMAX version of the Dell XT3 convertible tablet. We do wonder why Dell didn’t make the K08T adopt the standard slate form factor that is all the rage these days.
