-badasamsung-wave-Samsung has plans to launch its Wave 723 Bada cellphone on Europe next month during September, and the worldwide release will is set for the following months.

The Samsung Wave 723 which is also known as GT-S7320E makes use of their own Samsung operative system named BADA and in terms of specifications it sports a 3.2-inch LCD display screen, a 5-megapixel camera for photos and videos that comes with autoflash and LED flash as well, WiFi, and it can also work as an eBook reader.

One of the good details of the upcoming cellphone is the dimension – only 11.8mm thin – and the SNS support is also very welcome.

One of the great things about Google’s Android mobile operating system is the fact that it is open source. This means hardware manufacturers are capable of developing their own unique skins to lay over Android. HTC has their every so popular Sense UI and Samsung has the less popular, but not always hated TouchWiz UI.

However, what if you hate these overlays and just want to enjoy Android in all of its original goodness? Well, if it weren’t for some innovative hackers out there you would be out of luck. Thankfully, these hackers have managed to get the stock version of Android 2.1 running on the Samsung Galaxy S almost entirely. Unfortunately, the camera application isn’t working as planned but they are shuffling feverishly to get this fixed.

When that bug is worked out, except the stock version of Android 2.1 for the Galaxy S to get pushed out. Let’s just hope they do the same for Android 2.2 when it gets released.

samsunggalaxytab Samsung Galaxy Tablet to Feature 1GHz Hummingbird Processor?

There have been several hard hitting tablets set to compete with Apple’s ever so popular iPad. While none of these hard hitting devices, other than the Dell Streak, have actually made their way to market, they have generated a considerable amount of hype. One such tablet that should come to mind is the infamous HP Slate which we unfortunately may never see made available for consumer user.

Another tablet, the Galaxy Tablet from Samsung, we will see with Google’s Android mobile OS in tow. There’s no telling when exactly this device will ship or with what specs but we have a some-what official confirmation today. Apparently, the firmware for this tablet has leaked out today and after moseying through the code, the community has found that the Samsung Galaxy Tablet will feature 1GHz Hummingbird processor. If you’re pay9ing attention, you’ll know that the Samsung Galaxy S also features this 1GHz Hummingbird processor and it has proven itself to be more than capable. So, while it’s not from Samsung’s mouth it is from their engineers deeming it virtually official.

Now, all we need is an official release date and price point and we’ll be all set.

The first time I saw this ad, I thought I was seeing some ad for a film like 300 or something. There wasn’t a lot of blood, and then I saw some weird finger thing.

Yes, this is a commercial for the Samsung Captivate with its Galaxy S goodness. It is about getting cinema quality films in the palm of your hand.

I suppose that we should ignore the fact that most cinemas don’t have screens that will fit in the palm of your hand.
