Cinemek Hitchcock for iPhone and iPod Touch is a mobile storyboard and pre-visualization composer designed for Directors, Directors of Photography, Producers, Writers, Animators, Art Directors, film students and anyone who wants to be able to visualize their story.

A first in its genre, the Hitchcock storyboarding application uses photos from your iPhone and adds traditional storyboarding markups such as dolly, track, zoom and pan. You can even add your own stand-ins. The user can set a duration for each storyboard panel and then play it back to get real time feedback on pacing and framing.

You know how dolphins find their food? Sonar Ruler is an interesting iPhone app that generates and sends out echoes and measures their distances to with your iPhone. After sending a short pulse from the speaker, the Sonar Ruler app for the iPhone measures how long that pulse took to bounce off of something and return. It then estimates how far away you are. If you’re a teacher, this app is a great way to teach students the principles of sonar, and how sound propagates through air.

Kadabra is an iPhone app that can add a series of 10 great effects to your photos by using your fingers to draw them onto your photos. Kadabra also lets you adjust the thickness of the finger brush and also lets you zoom into the photo to get as detailed as you would want in applying the strokes. Effects are applied in layers so you can mix and combine layers to create your own unique output. Results of the edits can be saved or shared with friends on popular social networksing sites, as well as emailed to a friend. The effects provided by the Kadabra app include:

Webcams gone wild! The Seedonk webcam management iPhone app brings the growing world of live webcams to your iPhone and lets you view and control your cameras, manage their configurations, and share it with people you trust from anywhere online. You can also view live feeds from friend’s cameras shared with you.

The Seedonk iPhone app allows you to remotely control multi-touch Pan/Tilt/Zoom features of supported cams, including: Imogen Studio Mister Robot-o and Logitech Quickcam Orbit.

Seedonk also supports select Seedonk enabled Network Cameras. Seedonk can turn any webcam on a Windows PC into a remote video monitoring device, viewable from any PC or via the Seedonk iphone app. You will need to create an account with Seedonk to use this app.

Facebook has been on the iPhone for a long time now, with the free Facebook app giving you quick and easy access to your Facebook status updates, friends, messages and more. Masterminded by famous developer Joe Hewitt the Facebook iPhone app the updates 3.0 version is now out which utilities the 3.0 OS on the iPhone to add a ton of new functionality. The visual interface of the app had improved somewhat and a bunch of new features have been added. Here is what is included in the new 3.0 version of the Facebook app for iPhone.

The 3.0 Facebook app has a simple icon based homepage with a 3×3 grid of 9 icons. These icons are: News Feed, Profile, Friends, Inbox, Chat, Requests, Events, Photos, and Notes. For convenience, tapping the grid like icon in the top left always takes you back to this screen. There is also a blank second page where you can customize shortcut icons linked to profiles of your favorite Facebook friends. “Who’s on your fave 9?”
