Metacafe has acquired Action Sports, the parent company of sports community website Go211.com. Go211.com is known for broadcasting alternative sports events, including the BMX race Blackjack nationals and the 2010 Oregon Trifecta skateboarding competitions.

Go211 will operate independently, but their video catalog will become a center piece for Metacafe’s Sports section. Metacafe’s hits, combined with Go211, will now be at about 17.5 million. Go211 receives about 2 million monthly unique visitors per month.
