While tablets are getting quite popular with Android powered offerings like the Samsung Galaxy Tab making strides, smartphones are exponentially more popular. However, what happens when you mix a tablet with a smartphone? Well, you get something like the Dell Streak.
The Dell Streak is a 5-inch Android powered device that the popular computer manufacturer had begun marketing as a tablet before shifting away and marketing it as a smartphone. Regardless of what they say it is, consumers have taken to the Streak quite well with sales showing positive results. However, while the device is currently available for AT&T, thanks to a recent Dell FAQ we now have arguably even better news.
It seems that in the next few weeks Dell will begin selling the 5-inch Android powered Streak completely unlocked through their website. But that’s not all, Dell will also be selling the unlocked version of their Streak complete with Google’s Android 2.2 pre-installed.
Will you be picking up an unlocked Android 2.2 touting Dell Sreak when it drops?
