MOG stands for Music On the Go, and it is available on Android and the iPhone.
MOG costs about $10 a month for about 8 million songs. You don’t get to keep them, but with your monthly fee, you can store local copies on your phone. Apparently, there are a lot of cool songs to pick from, so try it out.
This is the Motorola Droid 2, and there doesn’t seem to be any information about this other than this picture which is a deliberate leak. I have heard that it will have Android 2.2 (Froyo) out of the box and rumored for an August 23 release date.
Getting information on cellular phones isn’t difficult with apps like My-Cast and Flight Information. This is the Android App Speed dialer Vlingo, for more general and specific information.
The purpose of Vlingo is to be the next 411. For example, if you say “Italian food”, you will see a list of the closest places to get an Italian meal.
I’m not certain how much this costs, but Vlingo’s other app Super Dialer is $10 to $20.
This is a video of a FaceTime call from Philippe Kahn, a man who is sailing a boat from Santa Cruz, California to Honolulu, Hawaii.
He is literally in the middle of nowhere, dead center of circle of water that has a radius of 1000 miles. Yet he can still make a FaceTime phone call. There was a Wi-Fi signal there, apparently, and the phone isn’t quite all there. However, a lot of transmissions on FaceTime are not quite kosher, but if can transmit from an airplane, why not from the ocean?
