I’m a little late to the Game Center party, because I was waiting to jailbreak 4.1. But now that I’ve arrived, it doesn’t feel like much of a party. Apple’s much touted Game Center app is supposed to be an “out of the box” focal point for all your iPhone (3GS/4), iPad, and iPod touch (2G-4G) games.
Compare your scores with friends, see how you rank worldwide, and try to achieve game goals to earn bragging rights (or to let people know how much free time you have to waste). You can also challenge friends to matches or play strangers in a multiplayer matchup.
Game Center does everything advertised above, so why am I not having any fun? Because this is what I was greeted with upon logging in:

After a bit of a shaky start, the Chronic Dev Team has finally released the much anticipated greenpois0n jailbreak, and it’s available for download now. Much like the already released limera1n, this jailbreak allows you to jailbreak iPhone running iOS 4.1.
The GreenPois0n download is only available for Windows so far, though a Mac version should be available soon. GreenPois0n will allow you to jailbreak the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPod Touch 3G, and iPod Touch 4G.
You can download GreenPois0n from the official website.
If you’re not sure how to use it, you may want to refer to our guide on how to jailbreak the iPhone using GreenPois0n.

MuscleNerd announced on Twitter earlier today that the Dev Team will be releasing an updated version of PwnageTool to jailbreak iOS 4.1. Not only this version will work with the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, but it will also allow to jailbreak the new Apple TV.
PwnageTool is a Mac only tool that allows you to update the firmware while preserving the baseband. It is necessary for those of you who want to be on the latest iOS, while keeping their iPhone unlock. If you’re on a PC and want to update to iOS 4.1 while not upgrading the baseband, you may refer to our tutorial… Read More

A quick note to let everyone know that so far, you can only download LimeRa1n for Windows. There is no Mac LimeRa1n download yet. According to Geohot himself, a Mac and Linux version of LimeRa1n should be available soon.
There are many websites offering fake LimeRa1n download links. My recommendation is to be very careful with those. You can always download LimeRa1n from our iPhone downloads section, or directly from the LimeRa1n website.
I will update this post as soon as we have LimeRa1n download links for Mac and Linux.

We just gave you the bad news that there won’t be an iPhone 3GS iOS 4.1 jailbreak, and unfortunately, we have more bad news, especially for unlockers. According to iPhone hacker Veence, there will not be an unlock for any baseband on iOS 4.1.
So why is that? I’ve got my ideas… Read More
