Smartphones are some of the most widely publicized electronics on the market. This is no surprise as it seems that everyone  and their brother has one now a days. However, with such high production there are bound to be some problems.

One such problem that just about everyone is sure to know of focuses on the iPhone 4. Around its release, consumers discovered that tightly gripping the iPhone 4 in your left hand would cause the device to lose reception and in some cases, even drop calls. This problem was so widespread, in fact, that Apple came forth to address the problem and give each and every iPhone 4 owner a free case.

Now that the iPhone 4 death grip issue has come and gone, the media can now focus on other devices. One device that has just come under scrutiny is the Windows Phone 7 powered HTC HD7. According to reports (and the above video) this phone experiences the same exact problem that the iPhone 4 did.

Of course, as Apple pointed out – just about every phone is affected by this in one way or another but its unfortunate to see such a high end device fall victim to it.
