htc mecha incredible hd 173x300 HTC Mecha picturedWe reported on the Incredible HD before, and this time, we have a detailed picture with the OS running.

As you can see, it has the Android 2.2 running and an updated version of the Sense user interface. There is also the 4G capability, too.

I believe this phone is now called the HTC Mecha now, which is a distinctly cooler name than the Incredible HD.

ltelogo No LTE Phones From Verizon Until 2011

As we’ve told you many times in the past (and you’re sure to already know) a fast and reliable mobile broadband connection is absolutely crucial now a days. Not only is it used for downloading apps, browsing the web and keeping tabs on social networks but enterprising users utilize these mobile networks for business on a regular basis.

Currently just about every wireless carrier supports a network that runs at 3G speeds but that is quickly changing. Wireless carriers like Sprint have already begun rolling out their 4G network which powers devices like the HTC EVO 4G and Samsung Epic 4G. Verizon too has their own high speed network in the works in the form of LTE. While we’ve heard quite a bit about this network we’ve yet to see it roll out.

Unfortunately, it seems that we’ll be waiting a bit longer has reports have surfaced today that say Verizon won’t be launching their LTE network until next year. What’s good about this report, however, is the fact that we’ve basically got official confirmation of several hardware manufacturers who are looking to launch their devices in this time period.

While we don’t have exact names, our best guess would point towards HTC and Motorola as potential candidates as they’ve worked closely with Verizon in the past on some of their biggest releases.

We’ll keep you posted.

Cydia ready for 4.2 Cydia Ready to Go for iOS 4.2

Last week we gave you a quick preview of a page on the new Cydia. At the time, Chpwn, who’s working with Saurik to update Cydia, said that this was all he had done so far. That wasn’t much and to be honest, it was kinda disappointing.

The good folks at Redmond Pie found out on Twitter that Cydia might now be ready for iOS 4.2. According to a tweet from Chpwn, Cydia for iOS 4.2 is “in ready position”… Read More

joby gorillamobile iphone 4 Jobys Gorillamobile gets revised, caters specifically to iPhone 4 with added bumper case

Are you ready for a barrage of Apple-specific peripherals from the labs of Joby? Can’t say we are either, but they’re coming regardless. Today, the famed creator of the original Gorillapod has pumped out a seriously overhauled version of the Gorillamobile, with this one designed to work specifically (and only) with the iPhone 4. The real difference here is the inclusion of a bumper case (no, not that Bumper case), which slides in perfectly to an accompanying rail attachment on the bundled tripod. Slip in, slip out — you dig? It’s available today for $39.95 if you’re eager to ditch the case Apple gave ya, and you can expect more when this came from by the time CES 2011 opens its doors in two short months.

Android Eats Apple How to Install Android on Your iPhone [No Computer Required]

We’ve seen our share of guides on how to install Android on the iPhone before. They’re not terribly complicated, but they’re not that straightforward either. Most importantly, they aren’t as easy as installing an app as they usually require a computer to complete the install process.

This is now a thing of the past. With the release of Bootlace 2.1, you can now install iDroid on your iPhone without the need of a computer! All you need is a jailbroken iPhone and a couple minutes of your time… Read More
