Tablets, tablets everywhere, but what one will you choose? If you’re an Apple fanboy you’re probably already set on the iPad but if you’re more into Android perhaps you’re looking to broaden your horizons. Unfortunately, for now there aren’t many Android powered tablets on the market but luckily one of the most capable has just dropped.
Which tablet am I talking about, you ask? Well, the Samsung Galaxy Tab, of course. This 7-inch Android 2.2 powered tablet features a 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM and front/rear facing cameras. Unfortunately if you’re looking to get your hands on the Galaxy Tab you may have a hard time as not every carry has picked it up just yet.
Luckily, if you’re in Canada you’ll be happy to know that Rogers now has the Samsung Galaxy Tab for sale at $674.99 with no contract. However, if you’d rather sign yourself into some more monthly bills you can grab the Galaxy Tab for $539.99 with a 3-year contract. This choice is yours.

As we tell you time and time again the Android tablet market is currently experiencing a drought. Luckily, several hardware manufacturers are working feverishly to get their Android powered devices out the door with companies like Samsung already succeeding with the Galaxy Tab.
However, competing hardware manufacturers have their own Android powered offerings such as ViewSonic with their ViewPad, which we’ve heard about a few times in the past. Although, while we’ve heard of the device around its initial announcement, we haven’t heard much of it since. Today, out of seemingly no where, the ViewSonic manufacturers ViewPad 7 has appeared on Amazon for pre-order starting at $599.
This Android powered tablet features a 7-inch touchscreen with an 800 x 480 resolution, a 600MHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 802.11b/g WiFi, a 3 megapixel rear facing camera and 0.3 megapixel front facing camera, access to Google’s Android Market and more. But is all of this worth it at $599?

HTC is one of the leading manufacturers when it comes to Android powered smart phones. They’ve already pushed out several devices powered by the platform with some receiving critical acclaim. One such device is the HTC EVO 4G on Sprint which features a 4.3-inch touchscreen, 1GHz processor and of course 4G connectivity, among other things.
However, just because they’ve already had several big released doesn’t mean they’re looking to slow down anytime soon. In fact, today it was announced that the HTC Desire HD has gone up for pre-order over at Vodafone for as little as free if you’re willing to sign up for a 2-year contract worth at least £35 per month. Of course, you won’t actually get your phone until the 24th but that’s not too long to wait for such a good looking phone.
For those wondering what the HTC Desire HD packs in terms of specs, it’s basically the same exact thing as the HTC EVO 4G minus the 4G connectivity. Got it?

Today is the day that T-Mobile has official put their G2 Android powered handset up for pre-order. Of course, for now you’re going to have to be a current T-Mobile customer to get down on the pre-order which runs from now until October 4th. If you’re not a current T-Mobile customer and want to get down on the G2, you’re going to have to wait until October 6th when the device will go up for sale to the general public.
$199 with a $50 mail-in rebate will net you the G2 which features a 3.7-inch screen, an 800MHz processor, 512MB of RAM, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, 4GB of built-in storage and a microSD slot with included 8GB microSD card.
So, like I said, if you’re an existing T-Mobile customer and want to pre-order a G2, head over to their website and slap one down.
