Social networks are quickly becoming integral parts of our everyday lives if they haven’t already. Facebook, as I’m sure many of you know, is one of the world’s most popular with 500 million+ active users. Twitter on the other hand has a few hundred million but is still one of the most widely used social networks in the game.
Seeing how the service has gotten so popular many people are Tweeting on the go. For this task, the iPad is without a doubt one of the most capable devices. However, if you’re looking to get some Twitter action out of the iPad you’re stuck choosing an application from a third party developer like TweetDeck.
While these applications are very capable pieces of software, those awaiting the official release will be happy to hear that Twitter has done just that today. The official iPad Twitter application is now available for download through the App Store for free.
