android logo Geinimi virus can infect Android Phones, watch out!As I have an Android phone, I am a little weary about downloading any Apps that would compromise my security.

Right now, I have learned of a Trojan named Geinimi that can take control of an Android device from a distance. This definitely could bring your information into a spotlight that you don’t want.

According to my Source, the way to avoid this Geinimi virus is to avoid applications that are found inside certain Chinese Android marketplaces. If you are an Android user, then you know that when you download and App, permissions have to be granted. You should definitely read those permissions carefully.

Watch out for games, especially. If a game needs to access your phone records, then there is definitely a problem unless it is part of the game. Right now, I can’t think of any exception to that rule.
