Some of you might remember when a certain bug was affecting iPhone users when it came to Daylight Savings time for Austrailia and Europe, and then struck the United States.
Apparently, this was a problem for New Years Day that was quite similar. According to myriad tweets, one of the alarms on an iPhone did not go off at its appointed time.
This problem is caused by faults in iOS, and there doesn’t look like any fix is available until January 3rd. Considering that I wrote this post in advance (I’m going to be traveling all day tomorrow so I can get to CES).
Here’s what Apple had to say in response to my Source:
We’re aware of an issue related to non repeating alarms set for January 1 or 2. Customers can set recurring alarms for those dates and all alarms will work properly beginning January 3.
