angry birds sequel pigs pov 0 280x156 Angry Birds spawns the Angry Pigs sequelI’ve actually lost count of how many times we reported on Angry Birds, like when it was available for free for Android, and it is due for a sequel.

I’m not talking about the Halloween edition. This one is Angry Pigs, and it is told from the Pigs point of view. Apparently, the pigs have stolen the bird’s eggs, and the birds must slingshot themselves to attack the pigs.

So, is this like Donkey Kong Jr., where the hero of Donkey Kong, Mario, is now the villain? We shall see, and see how well it goes over.

angrybirds 600 280x128 Angry Birds not on WP7, at least, not yetWe have been reporting on a lot of things Windows Phone 7 related, and there has been a recent showing off of WP7 icons at Pulse, TapTap Revenge, eBay, and Angry Birds.

However, putting Angry Birds on WP7 is a wee bit premature, apparently, as a spokesperson from Rovio mobile stated that they have not committed to a WP7 version of Angry Birds.

However, they tweeted later that “we are looking into it”.

What is Cut the Rope? A game where a monster arrives at your door in a box, and you must feed it candy. It is candy that hangs upon a string, and you must cut the drop in the right place to make it fall toward the monster Om Nom for its meal.

The game costs about $0.99 for the iPhone and $1.99 for the iPad.

angrybirds Angry Birds Coming to Android Next Week Due to Delay

There is a whole slew of different mobile games available for the various mobile operating systems. This large library of games is thanks to the various mobile application stores such as iOS’ App Store and the Android Marketplace. While many of these games have seen critical acclaim, there are some that stand out from the rest both in terms of gameplay and sales numbers.

Angry Birds from Rovio, for instance, has long been the number one most sold iOS application in the store and has seen high reviews across the board. While the game has already been available on the Nokia N900 for some time, it’s only been available for Google’s Android mobile operating system in beta form. Luckily, if you’ll remember, we told you that the final version of Angry Birds wold be coming soon. In fact, the final version was expected to debut this week but it seems that the game has been pushed back.

Rovio has notified us of this delay and lets us know that it has to do with problems surrounding multitask support. However, there is hope as Rovio says this will only cause about a week’s delay and Android users can expect to see Angry Birds on the Marketplace sometime next week.

We’ll let you know when.

I’m not big on games. I don’t have the time or the patience to play, but from time to time I find a game that gets me stuck to my iPhone and makes my carpal tunnel even worse. My latest addiction: R Type, by DotEmu SAS in partnership with EA Games.

The reason why I like this game so much is because I used to play it on my Comodore 64 when I was a kid. No need to tell you that lots of memories resurfaced as I went through the various levels… Read More
