While Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 mobile platform has yet to compete with heavy hitters like iOS and Android it is certainly being received quite well. As time goes on and more hardware manufacturers release smartphones powered by the platform things are sure to get considerably better.
While we’ve seen devices from big name manufacturers like HTC, ASUS has yet to push out their offering. But, thanks to the FCC, we now know of the Windows Phone 7 powered ASUS E600, pictured above. This device features a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen, 5.2 megapixel camera with LED flash, microSD card slot, 3.5 mm headphone jack, WiFi, GPS and a 1,300 mAh battery.
Additionally, it runs on the 850/1900MHz 3G bands so an educated guess would point towards an eventual release on AT&T.
Nothing official has been said about the ASUS E600 but we’ll keep you posted.

Google’s Android mobile operating system currently powers smartphones and tablets with several different hardware manufacturers partnering with the search engine behemoth. However, when it comes to tablets there are a few different manufacturers that have made tablets to remember. Samsung in particular has their 7-inch Android 2.2 powered Galaxy Tab tablet.
This tablet is the one that many say will inevitably topple the iPad’s reign of dominance but due to a reportedly underwhelming first run, analysts have changed the pitch of their tune. However, it seems that the Galaxy Tab has been doing better than we initially thought with reports surfacing today that say Samsung has managed to push an impressive 1,000,000 units since the device’s launch.
As of right now, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is only available from major wireless carriers with a pretty hefty price. Once the WiFi only version hits the streets at a presumably lower price, these sales numbers are sure to sky rocket.
Do you have a Samsung Galaxy Tab? If not, do you plan on getting one?

Microsoft is looking to get back into the mobile game hard with their recently launched Windows Phone 7 mobile platform. However, as we learned with Android, it’s up to participating hardware manufacturers to actually gt the mobile platform out of the labs and into the hands of consumers. Several hardware manufacturers have already showed off their Windows Phone 7 offerings but one we are waiting for in particular is the Dell Venue Pro.
The Dell Venue Pro features a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1GHz processor, 8/16GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and 720p HD video recording, 802.11b/g/n WiFi and more. However, the thing that really sets this device apart from the rest is its slide-out QWERTY keyboard that descends from the device in portrait mode as opposed to landscape like other devices.
If you’re like us and are anticipating the Dell Venue Pro, you will be happy to hear that it was put up for pre-order today on Dell’s website for just $99.99 with a new 2-year contract with T-Mobile. After slapping down your pre-order you’ll have to wait a big as the phone doesn’t begin shipping until December 8th.

Tablets have the whole tech community buzzing with many products causing waves. One such product that has been highly publicized ever since its release is the Apple iPad. In fact, despite being released just a few months short of a year ago, the Apple iPad is still the reigning champ when it comes to tablet devices.
However, unless you’re willing to shell out $500+ you’re pretty much out of luck, unless you live in Japan, that is. The reason I say this is because it has been made known today that Softbank Mobile will begin offering the 16GB WiFI + 3G iPad free of charge starting December 3rd provided you sign your way into a 2-year agreement worth at least ¥4,725 ($56).
For those math majors out there, this means that you’re essentially paying over $1,000 for the iPad over the course of 2 years. Worth it? You be the judge.
