Yes, we always try and report about the Playstation Phone whenever we can, and we just discovered this video.

Apparently, this Playstation phone is also known as the Sony Ericsson Z1, ans it is powered by the 2.3 Gingerbread. Now, if you are looking to see people playing the PSP, you will have to watch another video. At least you can see the 4-inch touchscreen and multitasking in action.

One of the last time we reported on this phone, we said that it might be coming December 9th. Is it really that soon?

xperiax8 Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 Gets Android 2.1 Update, Desperately Plays Catch Up

While many handset manufacturers have finally been able to push the highly sought after Android ‘Froyo’ 2.2 update to their handsets, Sony Ericsson has had a tough time keeping up. Luckily, if you’ve been paying attention you’ll know that the company did manage to push out the Android 2.1 update for their Xperia X10 smartphone. While it’s not the latest version of Android, it is definitely better than nothing and owners of the X10 won’t feel like they have been forgotten about too badly.

However, now that the Xperia X10 has gotten the Android 2.1 update where does that leave the Xperia X8? It doesn’t leave it anywhere as it was announced today that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 has finally gotten the Android 2.1 update. Seeing how this is a scheduled roll out it’s going to take some time before all Xperia X8 owners get the notification but it is coming, and soon.

With Android 2.3 and eventually 3.0 just over the horizon, Sony Ericsson is going to need to step their game up if they want to keep up with competitors. Just imagine buying a computer with Windows Vista with no Windows 7 compatibility – alarming, isn’t it?

10x1117ib234565 300x240 Sony Ericsson Anzu 4.3 inch tabletI’m surprised that we haven’t covered that Anzu, a tablet by Sony Ericsson to possibly be the Android Gingerbread flagship.

Apparently, someone in Russia is testing it out, but with Android 2.1. It should be available early in 2011 with Android 2.2 and then shift to Gingerbread (Android 2.3).

Just to let you know, the 4.3 inch display will have 854 x 480 resolution, 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM7230, and a 12 Megapixel camera.

I’m sure we’ll be hearing more about this in the future.

xperiax10 Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 to Get Limited Multitouch Support

In this day and age if a smartphone doesn’t have all of the features another does it ill get picked apart ruthlessly. Luckily, thanks to the top notch software engineering team at many of these smartphone manufacturers features are continuously added following their initial release.

One such example of this is the Xperia X10 from Sony Ericsson. When originally announced, SE let us know that the device did not feature multitouch support and would not be getting it due to the fact that the included hardware simply wouldn’t support it. Luckily, it was made known today that SE will in fact be bringing multitouch to the Xperia X10 in the near future.

Unfortunately, if you’re looking for full fledged multitouch support, you’re going to be disappointed. It seems that SE will only be bringing limited multitouch support to the device including pinch to zoom in the web browser and Google Maps. Then again, what other multitouch do you really need (besides for games)?
