I never really understood America’s infatuation with Michael Jordan. I think we all know that, in the end, he is a guy that can dunk a basketball. I’m still trying to forget Space Jam.
Off the court, Michael is promoting his own brand, and this “Dominate Another Day” laser-etched iPad is just one of them. Apparently, only a hand full of these emblazoned iPads have been created, and it apparently comes with a metal briefcase with the Air Jordan logo.
I believe that this is a viral marketing campaign, so I wouldn’t be surprised if another batch of these iPads was made soon.
We have reported on a lot of iPad cases before. Some of them are pretty inexpensive, and some, like the one from Louis Vuitton and the one made with a 3D printer, are a little more pricey.
This is an iPad case designed by David August, and it is made of pure alligator skin. It also costs a lot: about $6,900. That’s like ten times the price of an iPad, right?
The entire collection is about $37,800. Oh man, are there still people who are this rich?
In this day and age staying green is more crucial than ever with many auto manufacturers switching to hybrid or all electric vehicles. However, in the tech world, there isn’t really a worry about depleting fossil fuels but utilizing so much energy is a problem nonetheless. Luckily there are designers out there like Tjeerd Veenhoven to ease the pain with accessories like the iFan.
As of now, the iFan is only a concept but Veenhoven has dreamed it up to a be an iPhone case that actually charges the device using wind energy. Of course, to actually make this usable you’d need to be in a place where gusts of wind are quite common but there is also a bicycle mockup that will aid in remedying that.
No word on if this will ever enter production but it’s definitely nice to see that designers are thinking up ways to save energy.
Google is one of the world’s largest tech companies with their products reaching into several different niches. While their search and email offerings are quite popular, their Android mobile operating system is one of their most critically acclaimed products to date. However, while we hear quite a bit about Android, Google engineers have been hard at work on ChromeOS – an actual notebook/desktop operating system that would compete with behemoths like Microsoft’s Windows and Apple’s OS X.
Unfortunately, while ChromeOS has been in the pipeline for quite some time, we have yet to see a product powered by the platform hit the streets. Well, reports have surfaced today that says Google will actually be headlining the ChromeOS hardware brigade and plan to launch their own netbook powered by the platform on December 7th at a currently unannounced event.
Of course, this could all just be baseless rumors so until Google comes forth to official speak of the matter we’re going to take it with a grain of salt.
This is Rock Band Reloaded, and it is planned to “rock the mobile world” like it has the gaming world.
Now available at the App store, it offers some serious updates like a two-player mode for the iPad, not to mention singing along to 20 new tracks available today with more coming for the holiday.
I imagine we will be seeing a lot of comparisons between this and Guitar Hero.
