I’ve got something interesting for you today, courtesy of the Max Borges Agency, who sent it out for us to review. And considering that tomorrow is Christmas, I wish they would’ve gotten this to me a bit sooner so I could’ve filled you in. But for an item you might want to get ahead of next Christmas–or any time in between, you’ll want to try out the OpenIt multitool.

The OpenIt is a multitool that deals in just one thing: opening boxes. Cell phones, portable DVD players, laptops, DVDs themselves…any kind of box. It offers up a pair of spring-loaded shears, a utility knife blade and a screwdriver. The shears even lock closed when not in use for added safety.

It’s not the kind of thing we usually handle here, but there’s no doubt that mobile electronics enthusiasts like us need to know how to open boxes, bags and blister packs. And the OpenIt will do exactly that. I tried it out on a collection of bags, boxes and DVD cases that I’d received recently, and I discovered that the thing lives up to its promises. If you need a box open, or a case opened, or anything like that, the OpenIt will.

The down side here is that it doesn’t do anything but open packages. If you already have a good knife, you may not get any use here. But this is still sufficiently impressive if you need a way to cut open most electronics packages in rapid fashion.

And here’s the best thing of all–the price. You can find this at just $8.66 if you look in the right place, so even if you just want to try it, you’ll never lose a whole lot. The OpenIt gives you an incredible amount of utility, but only in one section. So if you open a lot of packages, you’ll definitely want an OpenIt on hand.

The Good

Does its job incredibly well and efficiently

The Bad

Does only one job

Mini Connect is now available through the iTunes store, and made for BMW’s Mini. Now you can have even more control of your mobile and your ride with this.

The applications include streaming Internet radio through the speakers, and Twitter will read news feeds to you. It also has Google integration for a “Send To Car” feature and an easy use of local search for finding where you are going to a whole lot easier.

Then there is the Minimalism feature which is made to make your ride more environmentally friendly. By the way, the App is entirely free, but the car is most expensive.

dellstreakwificert Dell Tablet Reportedly Gets WiFi Certification – 7 And/Or 10 inch Model Forthcoming?

Dell has long been one of the world’s largest computer manufacturers with a hefty marketshare to prove it. However, with much of the world making their way to the mobile market, Dell is quickly following suit. Not only do they have the Dell Venue Pro running Windows Phone 7 on the market (kind of) but they also have the Android powered 5-inch Dell Streak tablet which has been receiving generally positive reception.

However, while the Streak has been holding its own, many have wondered when Dell will release a larger tablet as 5-inches borders on the line of being a smartphone. Luckily, it’s been known for quite some time that Dell plans to do just that with a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor to boot. Now all we need to figure out is when exactly Dell will be releasing these new devices.

Lucky for us, a new device that falls into the “mobile Internet device” category has just received its WiFi certification. Normally, this wouldn’t be something to get 3excited about buy the fact that the device’s model number is M02M while the original Streak’s was M01M makes us believe that this is in fact a new tablet.

Unfortunately that’s all we have to go by for now but when we hear more we’ll throw it your way.
