Jailbreaking an iOS powered device is very helpful for those looking to unlock the device’s full potential. Not only in many cases does it allow a consumer to use the device on a non authorized wireless carrier but it does so much more. In fact, it gives consumers access to a whole slew of underground mobile applications through the rogue app store known as Cydia.
Unfortunately for those who support the jailbreaking movement, with each reoccurring release of iOS comes a fix for whatever jailbreaking solution has currently been popularized. This can be the same for iOS 4.1 which is currently the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system currently on the market.
Luckily, everyone’s favorite hacker by the name of Geohot has come recently to show off his latest jailbreak which is fully compatible with iOS 4.1 dubbed Limera1n. Unfortunately for Mac users, Geohot’s Limera1n jailbreaking solution was only available for Windows powered computer when it was first released. However, we’re pleased to announce that the software is now available for Mac OS X as well.
To grab the download, just head to Geohot’s Limera1n website, here.

The “Fun Day” is arriving as Chronic Dev Team is working hard to release their first ever all iDevices jailbreak tool named GreenPois0n. It took them a while to release the Greenpois0n jailbreak as it was announced earlier this year but they were never able to push it out as promised.
Chronic Dev Team and their Greenpois0n were even blamed to be fake as they accepted donations but never made a release. Some days ago, they made a strike by revealing a new bootrom exploit named SHAtter Exploit. This achievement means that iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G, and iPad are jailbroken for life until Apple introduces hardware change in the devices by replacing the bootrom. Read More

Apparently the staff will gladly hack the apparent iPhone 3GS devices (the iPhone 4 hasn’t been released yet), or cut the SIM card down to fit the micro size on those who have opted to buy an iPhone 4 through alternative outlets. Some stores are even going as far as saying that they will show users how to download 3rd party applications. Wow. Read More

So we all had a big laugh when people started jailbreaking iPhones inside Apple’s stores this week, but inevitably that fun’s been ended by the retail spots wising up and banning jailbreakme.com from their WiFi networks. Well, not so fast. A tipster of ours, identifying himself as IT Geek, has gone and busted a demo iPad wide open by using his Nexus One’s mobile hotspot capabilities. Yes, jailbreaking has become that easy. See him sticking it to the Best Buy man on video after the break.
