By now, you’ve probably heard about how the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia are banning the BlackBerry.
It would appear that RIM and Saudi Arabia have reached some sort of compromise when it comes to BlackBerry usage. Unfortunately, that means that RIM has “seemingly agreed” to put a server in that country and give the government full access to all user data in it.
So, it looks like there won’t be much privacy going on.

Despite appearing on Rogers‘ website some time ago, Research in Motion (RIM) has come forth today to officially announce the BlackBerry Curve 9300 3G. There isn’t much we don’t know here (considering the device has been up for sale, like mentioned above) but we’ll give those of you not paying attention a quick refresher.
According to RIM, the BlackBerry Curve 3G will feature their new BlackBerry 6 mobile operating system and virtually everything else as the normal BlackBerry Curve with added WiFi and 3G connectivity. Additionally, RIM says the device will feature 256MB of RAM – a welcome addition.
No word on when this will hit the United States but we’ll let you know as soon as we do.

Well that was fast – Just moments after letting you know that RIM had officially announced the BlackBerry Curve 9300 3G, T-Mobile has come forth to announce the device’s US availability.
Featuring RIM’s new BlackBerry 6 OS, WiFi and 3G, the BlackBerry Curve 9300 3G will be hitting T-Mobile within the ‘coming weeks’. What’s new to note here is the fact that the device will be available in two color schemes; smoky violet and graphite grey.

Just earlier today we let you know that Research in Motion along with AT&T came forth during a press conference to unveil the BlackBerry Torch 9800. This device is the same device that we’ve been hearing about for quite some time called the BlackBerry Slider – a name given due to its slideout QWERTY keyboard which is a first for RIM, I might add.
Anyways, while we’ve already learned its specs (3.2-inch screen, 4GB microSD slot, Bluetooth 2.1, etc) we had not learned its offiical release date or price point. Now, RIM and AT&T have coem froth to announce that the device will be available August 12th for $199.99 with a 2-year contract.
Not too long to wait for this new BlackBerry OS 6 enabled device. Anyone looking to pick it up?
